Position Overview:
The Finance Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial health and compliance of the company. In addition to overseeing financial controls and reporting, this role will involve managing commercial activities across various business sectors, leading project budget management initiatives and supporting Tax Compliance and Strategy.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Internal Control and Compliance:
- Establish and maintain robust financial controls and processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with operation and legal teams to assess the financial and tax implications of business transactions, contracts, and other initiatives.
- Assist in developing and implementing transfer pricing policies and documentation to ensure compliance with transfer pricing regulations.
- Coordinate with internal and external tax advisors to manage tax planning, compliance, and reporting, monitoring tax credits, incentives, and deductions.
- Commercial Financial Management:
- Partner with business units to analyze financial performance and identify opportunities for growth and optimization.
- Develop financial models and forecasts to support strategic decision-making in commercial activities.
- Monitor and evaluate commercial initiatives, providing insights and recommendations to drive profitability and market expansion.
- Project Budget Management:
- Lead the development and management of project budgets, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and resource allocation.
- Track project expenditures and analyze variances to identify areas for cost containment and efficiency improvements.
- Provide regular reporting and updates on project financial performance to stakeholders.
- Financial Analysis and Reporting:
- Conduct financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and scenario modeling, to support decision-making and business planning.
- Prepare timely and accurate financial reports for management and external stakeholders.
- Interpret financial data and communicate findings to non-financial stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
Qualification Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
- Proven experience in financial management, preferably within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
- Strong understanding of financial principles, regulations, and reporting standards.
- Demonstrated ability to manage commercial activities and drive business growth.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting techniques.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions and levels of the organization.
